He reiterated Malaysia's position that it condemns Israel's illegal occupation of Palestine.

Later on the same day, Anwar stated on Twitter that he called for another emergency meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation on the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and believed that this meeting should include countries such as China, Russia and Brazil.

Anwar revealed: "The United States has called the Malaysian ambassador to the United States to question our position on the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, especially our position on Israel's violence in the Gaza Strip." He said that the United States' move was because Malaysia refused to condemn Kazakhstan. actions and refused to designate Hamas as a terrorist organization.

"Our ambassador made our position clear," Anwar said.

Subsequently, Anwar mentioned: "The Ministry of Foreign Affairs told me that Malaysia received two notes from the US Embassy on October 13 and October 30, requesting Malaysia to use diplomatic channels to urge a country not to take advantage of the conflict, and to file documents through agents. into the conflict in Gaza.”
